Specifications for Manufacturing

Structure: A book-style magnetic flap (clamshell) with sharp corners at 90 degrees.
The outside is made of 157 gsm coated paper with a “soft-touch” matte film lamination finish. This makes a rubbery, touchable friction that feels high-end and doesn’t show fingerprints.
Branding Hardware: A special recessed region holds a zinc alloy metal plate that comes in Rose Gold, Gold, or Silver plating. You can change this plate by laser engraving or mold casting it.
The inside is made of high-density foam enveloped in soft, high-quality velvet.

Q1: What’s the difference between “soft-touch” and regular matte paper?
A: Normal matte paper is smooth but feels dry. Soft-touch lamination (also known as “velvet film”) creates a rubberized layer that feels similar to skin or peach fuzz. It is thicker, more durable, and adds greatly to the rigid box’s perceived value.

Q2: Will the zinc alloy metal plate tarnish?
A: No. Our metal plates are electroplated to a high standard (Rose Gold, Gold, or Silver) and finished with a clear anti-tarnish coating. They keep their shine for years, unlike cheap plastic stickers.

Q3: May I alter the color of the metal plate?
A: Yes. While our default CWLP boxes are Rose Gold, we can provide custom logo plates made of metal in Shiny Gold, Matte Silver, Black Nickel (Gunmetal), or Brushed Copper for orders of over 1,000 units.

Q4: Is the inner foam insert removable?
A: Yes. The velvet-wrapped foam insert is friction-fit. You can remove it to replace the backing or clean the interior. If you sell unusual things such as perfume bottles or coins, we can create unique die-cut cavities.
